Matching expectations with expertise
-> Potential customers can request information or discuss the possibility of working with South Research without further obligations. -> If the customer decides to engage the services of South Research a staff member will discuss the assignment with the client in detail. In this way South Research endeavours to gain the clearest possible view of the client's expectations in order to determine what services are required, when these services should be provided and at what cost. -> Based on the needs of the client South Research then draws up an offer. | South Research also responds to open 'calls for proposals', often in collaboration with other partners. Even if South Research is awarded an assignment in this way, we will endeavour to match the customer's needs and the services offered by South Research by means of a an interview. | -> Once agreement has been reached with the customer on the content, scope and cost of the task, a contract is drawn up and signed by both parties. -> This agreement contains the following information: -
a description of the agreed steps and the approach -
a clear outline of the mandate given to South Research -
the agreed cost and duration of the assignment.
-> The agreement includes a clause which indicates the steps that have to be taken in order to solve any differences of opinion or disputes between South Research and the client during the implementation of the contract. During the assignment
Whenever possible South Research provides its services in a participatory, interactive and process-based manner. This approach is characteristic not only of the services provided by South Research but also of the way in which collaboration and interaction with the client is structured. It is important for us to maintain a transparent and continuous dialogue with our client and with other key actors throughout the course of the assignment. Ample opportunity is provided for evaluation and client consultation during the course of the assignment in order to adjust the process and South Research’s mandate if this would be required. Some assignments (and particularly in the case of evaluations) the consultant carries out an analysis and makes recommendations to the client. There is opportunity for the parties involved to voice their opinion and give feedback on the conclusions and recommendations of the consultants during the assignment. If the appointed consultant is for some or other reason outside his/her control not able to provide the agreed services, South Research will propose another consultant and/or a new deadline. After-care
If requested South Research will provide the necessary after-care in relation to the assignment. Every client has the opportunity to discuss the quality of the services with South Research. For assignments lasting more than 10 days quality indicators will be defined beforehand in consultation with the client.
